The Lake Padden Park features several trails, most notably is the primary loop which wraps around the lake itself. This 2.6 mile loop is an easy hike with several minor hills and compacted gravel as a surface. On warm summer days you'll find swimmers using some of the multiple lake access points along the route.

Hertz Trail is located in Bellingham, Washington. It runs along the east shore of Lake Whatcom for its entirety. The majority of the trail is flat with only a few mild hills.
There are sometimes portable toilets in the parking lot at the beginning of the hike, but not always.
On warm summer days people can often be found using some of the numerous lake access points to go for a swim.
